Music Ministers

A Ministry for Adults & Youth of Parish

Music Ministers are an integral part of any liturgy as they encourage the full and active participation of the faithful assembled in celebrating the Eucharist through song.  Music ministers are responsible for gathering the faithful into one voice through sung prayer, musically highlighting the text of any liturgy, and enriching worship.

Our Music Ministry is comprised of a team of Cantors, Organists, Instrumentalists and Choir Members.
Cantors/Leaders of Song – lead the faithful in singing the Responsorial Psalm and other hymns of praise.
Organists and Instrumentalists – provide the musical foundation to support singing.
Choir Members – offer additional support and encouragement to the congregation.

“Come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord”   -Psalm 95:1

Saint Catherine of Sienna Adult Choir
Enhance the celebration of the Eucharist through songs of praise at our
11:30am Mass on Sundays
September to June, and other Liturgical Celebrations throughout the year

The Saint Catherine of Sienna Adult Choir is a team of hardworking volunteers who constantly strive to “Sing joyfully to the Lord”.  Members of the choir help provide support to the congregation in the singing of songs of praise.  Additionally, the choir may also prepare a Choral Anthem for any given liturgy – a musical offering that adds to the beauty of the Liturgy.

All are welcome!  No audition required, and though it may be helpful, a background in music is not a necessity.  Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm in the Choir Loft of the Church.  Please contact the Music Director for more details.

Saint Catherine of Sienna Youth Choir
Raise their voices in praise of Our Lord at our
9:30am Family Mass on Sundays
September to June, and other Liturgical Celebrations throughout the year

The Saint Catherine of Sienna Youth Choir is comprised of children ages 6 through high school. Representing the youngest members of the Music Ministry, the Youth Choir is a great way to foster a love of God through music.  Though they are young, the members of our choir are highly dedicated, and are instilled with an overwhelming willingness to serve.  As a member of the choir, children not only learn to “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord”; they also learn to see the connection between the music they are singing and the Scripture Readings of any given liturgy.

All are welcome; no audition required, just a willingness to raise one’s voice in song.  Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings at 6:00pm in the St. Joseph/St. Dominic room of the Sienna Center.  Please contact the Music Director for more details.
